"The world will offer you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness." -Pope Benedict XVI
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every child has a place in the classroom. Every child has the ability to learn and love learning if they are only given a chance. Every child is deserving of respect, kindness, and love. Every child is made for greatness and this greatness needs to be formed and nurtured in the classroom. I want every student to know
that I expect great things from them and will help them achieve this.
I am going to do this primarily through assessment and differentiated instruction. I believe assessment plays a vital role in student growth. I believe in assessing my students in order to facilitate
deeper understanding and connections within their learning.
I will nurture my students' growth through differentiated instruction that will both meet their needs and engage them. I would like to integrate students' interests into the classroom whenever
possible in order to spark a sense of curiosity and creativity.
I am passionate about working with children and I hope to be a teacher who will instill a love for
learning in my students. To achieve this, I wish to create a culture of love and respect in the classroom
that tells students learning is a gift that is open to all if they are only willing to try.
